Jackson "Butch" Guice was born at the dawn of the Marvel Age -- 1961-- in Chattanooga, TN.

An avid artist, Butch can't remember a time when he wasn't drawing (any more than he can remember his first comic!)

He broke into the comics industry in 1980 with Marvel's Micronauts series and has gone on to do work on many the icons at Marvel and DC both, including Superman, the Flash, the X-Men, and Iron Man, to list but a few.   Currently Butch is providing the art for the excellent BIRDS of PREY,   and - as an artist myself - all I can say is I pity anyone who has to follow that act.  (Which is also to say I hope he stays on 'til the wheels come off!)
